A mental health care plan (MHCP) is a plan for people who want support with their mental health. To access a mental health care plan, you will need a valid Medicare card. You can visit your GP, who will complete a detailed mental health assessment and assess your eligibility for a MHCP. They will provide you a referral to see a psychologist, where you will have access to up to 10 rebated sessions per calendar year.

If you have a mental health care plan, you will obtain a rebate of $98.97 from the sessions.

We accept private health insurance. If your private health fund covers psychology sessions, you can use this.

You cannot claim both the Medicare rebate and private health insurance.

We have a 24-hour cancellation policy. This means you can cancel and/or reschedule your session via email or SMS, prior to 24 hours, without being charged a fee. However, if you cancel your session within 24 hours, you may be charged a $100 cancellation fee.
